Another powerdine question???

hey guys do you think my stang could hold up to the 9lb.powerdine because the 9 lb is the same price as the 6lb if not what mods do i need to support the 9lb.
Thanks for any help given or has already been given.

You should be fine with the 9# blower if your engine is in good health. You will however need a bigger fuel pump 190lph and the electronics must be dealt with. I believe powerdyne includes a computer chip with their kit. It also comes with an FMU. However it is better to get bigger injectors and a boost retard instead of the FMU. You can never be too rich but you can be lean only once. 9lbs. is about the max I'd want to put on a stock engine. And don't forget the blow out valve.

Also, add a couple hundred bucks to the price of the powerdyne kit. Well...what I mean is their older kits had a lot of stuff missing. They may have added some more stuff to their kits these days...like a fuel pump, boost retard, bypass valve, etc. All of this stuff the considered "optional".

One of the biggest things you can do for your car with a sc is to have it dyno-tuned. You may not need a boost retard with a proper tune; I don't use one with my chip. I also gained 46rwhp with my dyno-tune. The nine pound kit comes with bypass valve, FMU, hypertech chip, and a 190lph fuel pump. By the way, I saw a stock 94/95 GT down here in San Diego dyno with only a 6psi Powerdyne, chip, and mufflers at 279rwhp/310rwtq.
