speedo gear pitch???
 

I am looking to buy the 21 tooth gear for my speedo to tell the right speed, (3.73 gears). I went to a speedometer shop to buy the gear and they said they have to know whether it's a left or a right hand pitch. I have no idea what he was talking about, other than I needed a red 21 tooth gear. If anyone can enlighten me, I'd appreciate it. Or, better yet, if anyone knows of a part number from Summit, Jegs, etc.. or anywhere I could order it from, please let me know. Thanks!!

Go to the Ford dealer they should have it in stock. Less than ten bucks when I bought mine.

The Ford part number for the gear you need is:

C4OZ-17271-A

I went to Ford, and was told that they don't carry the part and cannot order it. The guy at the counter actually referred me to a local speedo shop. I'll try another Ford dealer and I'll go in with the part number in hand. Is there anything else I'll need other than just the 21 tooth gear? Thanks for the info!!!!!
