MAC 70mm throttle body.
 

I am new to this site, enjoyed it so far. I installed a 70mm throttle body on a 1990 GT. Runs fine, took it for a test drive and it seems to take longer to idle down. Are there any adjustments I need to make, did not see anything in my manuals. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You might want to check out your TPS (throttle posistion sensor). That tells the computer how far open your butterfly is open/closed. Did it come with a new one? If it did, try putting the stock one on the new TB.

I have an edelbrock/BBK 70mm throttle body (two names on one throttle body....go figure!), anyways, until i come to a complete stop it has always idled at 1100-1200 and then drops down to 800 as soon as i stop moving. I also adjusted my TP sensor. It idles at 800 only when i'm sitting still, and i've heard of a lot of other people with the same thing going on....just something to think about.

So you guys have had no problems. I adjusted the sensor (what adjustment there is) and it idles a little lower so I guess it will be fine. Thanks for the info, anything helps. I am just getting started fixing up my Mustang. It has been easy stuff so far. Maybe this weekend I will install some mac equal length headers I picked up. From what I have heard they can be tricky. We mod our cars so we can go faster and make the rush better, but you might want to keep this in mind... ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING you do to your car WILL make it run "different" then it was before. You might like the way the new setup runs or not, the trick is how to "retune" your car after you add or remove a mod.

A little advice about your equ shorties... you might have to raise your motor a little bit to cram them in. Make sure you put a large block of wood between the jack and the block.
