Not every company can make every one of their products perfect every single time.

Its the same thing with the people that have a problem or 2 with a certain type of car, then say that they will never buy that make of car again. Like if i had trouble with a taurus and said i would never buy another ford product again. Theres alot of people out there that do this, and are ignorant for doing so.

In a nutshell, no company is perfect, but some ARE worse than others.

I'd suggest returning the TB and if the next one is bad too, then you can make the assumption that MAC sucks. But dont do it on just one experience, well unless you really want to that is :D

Or he could take the collective knowledge of the Mustangworks members, all their experience with MAC products and say:

MAC quality is very sporadic. Anywhere from middle of the road parts to complete garbage. If you buy a MAC product, you are opening yourself up to the risk you might be in the percentage of the pool that gets a piece of junk.

I couldn't have said it better myself! MAC = Mostly Always Crap. Sorry, but I've had many experiences with their exhaust products and find that aren't worth the money, and you're better off saving up a bit more for something better, as well as their throttle bodies. The only thing I'm happy with are the MAC control arms I have. /end rant :)

I feel the same way about BBK personally. IMO it is luck of the draw with both of these companies.

Anyone have any problems with parts ordered from summit? I ordered a cat-back exhaust, told em year, make, model everything, first time i got it, it didn't have O2 sensor holes drilled in, second time i got it back, it was over an inch and a half short...

5ohCOUPE 05-03-2002 04:35 PM

My MAC TB did the same thing and I found out that the part that turns the TPS sensor was too long and there was a vaccum leak at the tps sensor. After I tightened the TPS sensor down there was a gap between the TB and the TPS sensor. I fixed it by filing down the section that goes into the TPS sensor and havent had any other problems yet. Or you can block off the little hole in the throttle plate. Just kidding, but it was a temporrary fix untill I found out what the real problem with it was.:D

Yes I have the contol arms as well and I like them.
