shifter boot.
 

where can i get a shifter boot (the inner rubber one)? i am installing a tri-ax and the old boot is kind cracking. the dealer doesnt have and cant get a lot of mustang parts anymore. where can i find one??

you can try a junk yard or online at www.ebay.com. Simply
go to search and type in mustang boot and if there's on online - it'll pop up

You might want to try a diff. dealer I just got one from ford about 6 months ago or the cheaper way and go to the J yard hope you can find one

ok thanks guys, the dealer said they have "discontinued" a lot of the fox body stang parts. and cant ever get them again. the whoel resont his came up is because i am putting a tri-ax in and when i took the stock shifter out the boot that is clamped onto the shifter is torn. its like a dust boot or something. i cant find it anywhere online. i do have a lead from someone that says i can order one for a 94 mustang and its the same. so ill try that.

Mustangs unlimited is your answer. I just ordered one from them about 3 months ago. I had always just been running a whole in the floorboard when i swapped in a tremec tko for my aod. I ordered it from mustangs unlimited and got it 3 days later. along with a new ford motorsport leather shifter boot.

check out jcwhitney they have a lot of ruber parts; hard to find window channels, all the other molded weather stripping, and lots of stuff for shifters

I just got one of those from my Dealer last November. It is true many Fox body parts are going on the obsolete list, my buddy runs a Lincoln Merc body shop and could not get a new door skin. Now our parts are NOS, plenty of em are still out there, lurking in parts bins. Grab em before they get thrown out or end up in the catalog warehouses!@
