Different techniques work best for different people. Some people like to dump the clutch from a couple thousand rpms, and some people like to slip it out.
The dump technique works by revving the car to a little below the desired rpm, then dumping out the clutch as you floor it.
The slip technique basically involves revving to a couple thousand rpms, quickly letting the clutch out until it begins to grab, flooring it while slipping a little to keep the rpms up, and letting the clutch out all the way.
Basically, you're trying to induce a little wheelspin so you don't bog, but not too much wheelspin so you just burn.
