i need help

does anyone know of a high performance transmission shop or a muscle car restoration place in central or northern california that can help me through the T5 conversion process? all the normal tranny places that i have talked to basically tell me the same thing, that they can do the work, but finding all the parts i'm on my own. i need help gathering all the parts i need for the conversion.

i need a good clutch for a light modified 67 mustang for a T5 conversion that is a daily driver. and if anyone has a line on a used T5 i would be very interested. thanks for any and all tips for this process.

transmission place

I know of a place that could probably help you in northern California. The name is Hamilton-Clark Industries. They are located in the old McClellan AFB. They work almost exclusively with Fords and are currently helping me build my CJ. I bought all my parts from them and they give me a lot of advice on anything I need to know. The number is (916)643-2010. The guy that I deal with is Cole, so you can ask for him. He knows just about everything for Fords and I am almost sure you can get any parts you need from him.

I think Mustangs Unlimited had some.

Also there is a place here in Fairfield that might help. California Speed machine.

National Parts Depot has conversion parts now. There is also a website called www.windsorfox.com that sells parts and has a little info on the conversion itself. It's actually not that hard. I didn't do the work on mine but after I got it back and realized there was no welding or any fabrication I wish I would have done it. Good Luck.

Windsor fox is windsor-fox.com they should have evything you need but the T-5. I'd go there read the FAQ on the conversion and buy the parts from TMD you can search them on ebay and pick p the correct flywheel alot cheaper then windsor fox. As for the T-5 you might as well buy new and forget the sed route the chances of getting a good used T-5 is about as good as catching one of use in a ricer.
