I'm sorry, I don't have any help for you...just a question.
What's "ttt"?

Kamaro Killer 05-07-2002 02:23 PM

"ttt"

It's funny you ask, I asked the same thing about 2 weeks ago. It means to the top. You would put "ttt" if you want people to see your question on the top of the page. -Keith

someone has to know how to take the rear bumper cover off?

I know how but im not telling :D

its not that hard. Are you installing a cobra bumper? another gt? anyhoo, there are like 4 bolts on each side of the rear fenders. You have to take off the plastic inside panels of the trunk to reach them. Then there are about 6-8 other bolts along the inside by where the lights bolt up. Then there are like two bolts holding the smaller quarter piece in the inner fender (you may have to take the wheels off) and then like two other bolts holding that small quarter piece to the rear bumper cover that are reached from under the car. Then there are like 4-6 push in screws holding the bumper cover to the bumper bracket. Those can be tough to remove and will most likely break. If you are putting in a cobra pumper you will have to saw off those small brackets.

I think thats it...

thanks....no i want to take it off cause the previous owner installed a hitch and the only way to get at some of the bolts is to remove the cover...

i too had to remove a tow hitch on my car, but it was welded in place and I took it to a shop and they told me they werent allowed to cut it since it was welded to the frame. It took me several blades to cut through the brackets, within mm of hitting the gas tank.
