T56 trans, please help me

Hey guys, I'm a newbie. Looking to pick you brain.

Can anyone tell me where I can get parts to stick a T56 6 speed from a Z28 behind my 351C?

I'm gearing up to stick this Engine/Trans combo in, but lacking a trans.

Thanks for your input,
Corey

You may want to call D&D Performance in Wixom Michigan - you can get their phone number in any of the MM&FF mags.

Good luck and welcome to the board!

Those guys over at D&D are great. I got my T-56 through them.

D&D wants tooooooo much for their stock parts. If I'm gonna pay $900 for parts to swap this thing over to a ford it better not be made of aluminum, I want a Blow proof scattershield.

Anybody know a manufacturer that makes one?

Well, I found it.

Never thought of calling JEGS

Lakewood scattershield for T56/ford SB
$399.99

I knew there was a cheaper way. I'm pretty sure that It'll work just fine with a ford flywheel and pressure plate. I'll have to use a GM clutch though.

Hopefully I'll only have $1200 into this trans swap

Thanks for the info guys
