'86 GT Overheating Problems

I was driving along, and I noticed that the car was overheating. I pulled over and it was smoking and my radiator [lower] hose was busted...

I replaced it, drove off, and the leaking stopped from that spot. A few minutes later, the car was still overheating. I checked the oil level, and it's fine...the antifreeze level is also fine.

Any suggestions??

did anything get in the hose and inside when it busted, something blocking the flow of the water is the only thing i can think of.

Don't think so

I don't think so, the hole was very tiny

mine did that and i went to a 180 degree stat...keep an eye on your your oil color...i finally found that i had a warped head on my drivers side....i went thrpugh 3 sets of head gaskets...alot of work for such a little thing lol....and also make sure you bleed your colling system off..if there are any air bubles in it your temp sending unit will send a false reading...hope this helps...

Thanks

As of the last couple of days my car has been running fine, go figure. I haven't gone on any long rides yet but as I become more confident I will go farther.
I will definitely keep an eye on my oil thanks for the tip.
