Convertable Top
 

Can this be replaced in the driveway? If so, what kind of special equipment are you looking at to get the job done?

Anything is possible, but I've had my top replaced twice and I saw them use about a dozen specialized tools, none of them readily available at parts stores. It also took the coordinated efforts of several knowledgeable automotive upholsterers.
I have performed lots of machine work, but I personally didn't install my top because I wanted it to look good.
It cost me $600 bucks each time with a glass curtain.
