opinions mac flow path vs 2 chamber flowmaster
I need several different opinions on which is better meaning sound, performance, etc.... Im doing full exhaust, long tubes, off road h-pipe and either one or the other mufflers. If I got with MAC then it will be all MAC. But if i go with flowmasters i was considering BBK long tubes and BBK off road h-pipe. Im not sure plz lemme know what you guys think.....
thanx jax |
I've had both! they both sound great. You won't go wrong with either one of the systems. Going complete MAC would be a fine idea. Personaly I like the Flowmaster for the "meaner" old timer muscle car sound, my flowmasters even seem to be getting louder with age!:D But really, there is no way to go wrong with either system. Both sound MEAN!!

Go with the Flows. I think they sound cooler. Go with MAC longtubes, a MAC Prochamber, and Flowmaster 2 chambers. You'll have the meanest sounding 'Stang around. The MAC mufflers are a lot mellower than the Flows.

I just did the force II set-up for my 02, nice sound with the stock manifolds and cats, only slightly louder with the biggest difference on acceleration. Seems to me most cat-back systems don't add much in the way of power, but they improve the sound imeasurably over stock. If anything the flows were probably 1/2 the weight of the stock mufflers.
If your messing with ABS/TCS car watch out for the brake line on the passenger side (was a $180.00 fix at the dealer). I made the supreme effort to knock a pin hole in it. |
Go with the flow...get it? Ha ha. They sound much deeper and have a nice little rumble going when you start your car. Believe me, you will sit in your car all day just starting it over and over again. It will be music to your ears...

Serouisly dude, I'm not one to follow the crowd, but Flows just sound so damn mean....AND PURTTY.
Everytime I crank my car up I have to go change my underwear...I like them that much..Honest. |
Amen to that Merc! Go with an American Thunder cat back. You could just have the 2-chamber mufflers welded in but I don't know why people do that anyway since it most likely would have to be professionally done.
