Mods for my Mustang
Hey all, this is my 2nd post, great site. (my first post was this same question in another forum)
I know it's a bit early but I just can't stop thinking about the 2003 Mustang GT I'm getting september. Well anyway, I was just thinking about all the mods I was going to put in my car and I need some help. My first thing I would do is put in a cool-air intake and a new exhaust. I was thinking of a Borla exhaust, what do you guys think, you all have much more experience than I do. But keep in mind I only have a budget of maybe $1500 max on an exhaust and I want the highest quality for the money that I could get. Any suggestion??? |
If I were you, and had $1500 to play with, I'd put in some longtubes and an H-pipe. Then, I bolt up a flowmaster 2 chamber catback. That'll sound SOOOOO mean!! Plus you'll gain crazy power, like 20-30horses.

good lord with just header, cat, exhaust done? guess the V8 is a bunch different than the rice rocket I'v been playing with. all that would give ya 10 HP at max on my RSX.... looks like my GT is just gonna be gobs of fun.

I agree with Stoplight Warrior, that set up would sound mean as hell. And the gain in horsepower will be nice to.

That's the nice thing about V8's, we have high Horsepower even with all the crappy emmissions crap. The small 4 bangers need to have everying as efficient as possible just to get 180HP from there engines.
Stoplight is right, Borla is good, but with another more inexpensive system you could do the whole exhaust. I like dynomax. MAC mufflers sound pretty good too. |
