am i retarded or what???
when i put my motor together, i 'lost' one of the flywheel bolts...
during assembly i forgot to obtain another one and assembled the motor... after i installed the engine, and ran it, it was leaking oil like crazy... sick of working on it, i brought it to the shop. the mechanic just called laughing... told me the leak was from not having the bolt in the crank... said it was an open hole into the motor, thus the leak... true or BS?? now if i can get my 4 barrels to open, i'll be set!! |
no offense intended to the mentally handicap'd

There is an oil passage that can get out through the bolt holes.
That is why you need to make sure you seal the threads on the crank to eliminate leaking. |
