First time at track last night.
I went to Great lakes Dragway yesterday with a few buddies, I didn't have the drag radials on because I still need to get a pair of wheels for them. anyways. My best run of the night was my first run.
R/T 1.102 60' 2.279 1/8 72.28 MPH 12.857 1/4 15.333 MPH 91.21 I think I could of gotten it a little bit lower with a better 60' time. Do these times sound about right? I think it's capable of better times. It was my first time at any track so I think I can improve a little bit. later |
you can get into the 14.60s if you lower the reaction time and you 60ft to
.800(start to go on the second to last light on the tree) 2.0-2.1 you should be able to get around that with the 3:73s |
My neighbor has an '88 GT Conv with Auto, 3.73s, full exhaust, cold air, and Cobra R rims. His best run was a 15.3 @ 88 mph. In fact all of the runs are those times. Keep running it man and have fun...thats what it is all about.
BTW..how do you like that TransGo kit? Sounds like your there....Was it spinning out if the hole... BTW..he also has a '01 SS that has run a 13.2 @ 105 bone stock. |

It's been a long week, maybe I'm not thinking correctly. |
Your right, reaction has nothing to do with 1/4 times. Clock doesn't start till u go...
|
then what dose the r/t have to do with. is it to see if you getting a late start on the guy next to you?

That's correct. a lower ET and a higher trap speed can lose to a slower car if you're asleep at the tree.

Still if you bring the 60' time down to about 2.0 you should see a 14 easy... if you are spinning a lot slap those dr's on... otherwise get a converter.

Thanx guys. Looks like I got some practice to do. Hopefully I'll head up to the strip again in a month or so. Hopefully with a t5 by then! thanx.
