Does Yanking the Silencer work on 99+ GT's?
 

My friend just bought a 99 GT, wondering if anyones seen a dyno test with the silencer removed, I know it was worth 3-5hp on the earlier cars. Thanks.

MM&FF did it not too long ago and dyno'd before and after. I think it was a 2-3 hp gain.

I have also read that some dyno tests have resulted in no gain and even a loss of two to three horse !

The silencer is now gone and to his suprise, there was already a K&N stock replacement filter! If it didn't gain any power, it at least sounds meaner.
