white spark plugs and oily plug threads

I pulled a few plug on both sides of the engine and there all white. I know this means I am running lean but the fuel pump isn't making excess noise. At partial throttle if I rev the car up the power falls off the higher the revs go. If I go wot it runs so, so but better. The fuel pressure is good at idle, but I don't have a guage mounted to know whats going on under load. The oily plug threads I believe means the valve seal are worn. Any opinions on what is going on? The fuel filter was replaced less than 10 miles ago.

If it's the original pump, it's 13 years old, and is due to fail. As far as the plugs, white plugs with oily threads usually are the result of a bad valve cover gasket, and oil leaking into the spark plug hole, getting the threads wet when you pull them. If it's so lean the plugs are white, any oil residue in the combustion chambers should be burned up.

Take care,

I replaced the valve cover gaskets with the one's from FMS that are metal with a rubber o-ring. That was about a year and a half ago and I checked and they haven't leaked a drop since then. The oil in the threads is clean fresh oil. If the valve seals were bad would oil leak into the threads or does that just not happen?
