BF Goodrich Radial T/A
Just curious is anyone has them on thier car... they are the epitome of muscle car tires, well for older ones anyway... just curious what they would look like on a later model mustang... any pictures perhaps?

MY buddy had a set on chrome Cobra r's on a red 1996 or 1997 Cobra and they looked great.

I will never buy them. They are way too soft. i had a brand new set on my 69 Chevelle SS, and both rear tires were showing steel belts within 8 days. Screw that.
Take care, -Chris |
I have a set that I put on my Stang mainly during the summer. I don't know how well they wear as I don't drive on them enough, but I agree with them being soft ( which would amount to faster wear). Once they are warm my car will barely break them lose in first gear (just using throttle, no clutch). I have 275's on the rear so they are pretty wide, which helps the traction too. When my 225 Yokohama's are on, they will break lose through first and second easily on throttle.

I had them on my previous car (351W, 5 speed) Pinto Panel Wagon for 3 years, and had no problems. I've just put them on my 79 Mustang and to be honest, I haven't been able to drive it yet (needs engine/tranny to be done). Here's a few pic's: (Notice that I left the blackwalls facing out).
