If the gasket isn't a direct match, get a stock one, and trim it to match the shapes you want to have, then use it as a stencil.

Take care,

This is how I matched every thing up. Take 4 pieces of 5/16" allthred to bolt in heads at each corner. Take gasket and place them on heads to see how well they line up. Trim as needed. Then take a few drops of silicone on intake side of gasket still in place and put intake on. Wait for silicone to dry and pull off intake and mark gasket. This will give you as close a match as I could figure how to do. Hope this helps.

use the fel-pro 1262's I think... torque them down, no sealer... then take them off and look at the imprint and trim... the fel-pros are designed for that... even tells you how in the instructions ;-):D

confused????????

I think we missed the question here? I think he was aksing about the ports? Maybe I am reading it wrong, but to offer 2 opinions to match the ports, take it to a speed shop and have them port match everything for you,and 2 do the gasket thing like everyone has said and it should come out alright

well stock intake gaskets are too small..AFR says 1250's..i just orderd them..ijust got a hitload of drum sanders..i am not new to polishing intake manifolds and gasket matching but in this case i dont want to gasket match beacasue i do not want to touch the head side..i just want to copy the headshape onto the intake then blend it in..so the imprint and silicone ideas look pretty good...i know i read once that jeff chambers puts the intake on then with a peice of clay on a stick he sticks it into the intake to where the heads meet the intake and takes a reading.

In that case, go to your local post office, and get a couple large Priority Mail boxes. They're free, and the perfect thickness. Cut two strips that are comparable in size to the gaskets, line them up and punch holes for the bolts, then install them like you would the gaskets. Torque down the lower intake, and then pull it back off. The cardboard will show the exact imprint, and you can trim it and use it as a stencil.

Take care,
-Chris
