Seats

I have a '66 coupe that needs lots of work. I was wanting to take out the low back front seats and replace them with the seats from an '83 GT. Is there a way to make this work? Is there any fabrication needed? The seats all need recovered any way. I have the GT seats from a previous purchase. Obviously I'm not concerned with originality. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You need the frame rails from the 83. Then you will most likely have to do some drilling to make them fit. But the frame rails and I think that year had power didn't it? It did you will have to tap into a power source and make sure to ground that bad boy to be safe.

I am also interested in this type of deal, I see people putting other seats in their mustangs all the time. I hear that what you need to do is bold the og mustang tracks onto the new seat frame, but dont quote me on that.

Thanks. The seats I have aren't power. I have the whole seat assemblies, including the brackets, which I don't plan to use. I was wondering how difficult a job this is.
