Hesitation from 1,400 to about 2K
 
Hesitates after warm from those rpms.....i'm thinking TPS. what do u guys think..

at WOT or normal driving..if normal driving id say 2 much spark or 2 much fuel..if at WOT i have no idea if it stops at 2000..what mods to the car

Its happening on the 87 which is bone stock. I have smelled fuel faintly after the car is warmed up when i stop...but that is rare. i just did a tune up and it is still doing the same thing.

Just normal driving. say its ion 5th on the interstate at around 1500 rpms and u give it some gas to pass someone...does it then.

Has a rough idle every now and again too. Not all the time though....

Try cleaning your idle air bypass valve if you haven't already.

EGR sticking open could probably cause those things, too.

If it's doing it under WOT acceleration, along with a bucking and surge, there is an excellent chance you're running lean.

Many times that problem is caused by a bad injector. Could be dirty or just shot.

The TPS wouldn't care what rpm you are at, only throttle position.
