Flipping quad shocks?

Well can you (what the title says) to get more clearance for tires, someone told me you could, just curious, as my tires are rubbing slightly, dont want to hurt them too much (the tires). thnxx

I ripped mine off competely a while back and noticed no difference in the handling of the car.

I was trying to flip them around, but couldnt get the nut that was behind the brake drum off, so I just grabbed my dremel and cut the damn thing off :)

They are there to help prevent wheel hop. You can flip them without it effecting the way they work. If they are very old, it's likely that they aren't doing anything at all and removing them will be no different than having dead shocks. The best thing to do would be to get some aftermarket upper and lower control arms along with better springs and you won't need them at all.
