HELP... Clutch for 91' Taurus SHO

I need to replace a clutch in a 91' Taurus SHO. I have never pulled a tranny from a front wheel drive car before. I know it is not going to be too bad but has anyone done this on an SHO? Anything to look out for or what not when pulling it?

not that simple....

i have done one.. you cant just pull the tranny out like most FWD cars. you have to get and engine brace that holds the engine up in the car while you drop the whole cradle. something i wouldnt tackle unless i had a lift, which i did. oh make sure you have a friend with you, those trannies are heavy!

I will have an extra set of hands helping and I am doing this as you did. No Lift. The tranny should not be too bad as it is a stick instead of an auto.

Thanks

Thanks for the info srv1

We were able to do this without a lift only had to drop the cradle on one side and the tranny came out with no problem. The tranny was not too heavy but thanks it made it easier to prepare for pulling a heavy tranny.
