Ran a early 90's Eclipse
 

Well I went to the track last night and low and behold I saw a car run slower than mine:eek: It was a gold early 90's Eclipse 5-speed, a non turbo. The was running 12.6-12.7's. I walked over and asked if he'd like to run em. I told him my ride and he said sure. I told him I'd find him in a few min. after I turned my card in(it had JUST got there). Well I turn my card in a make a warm up pass. I almost 5 tenths over my average(due to the burning hot motor), with a 12.79.

I drove back to the pits, poped my hood, and cranked the heater. I let it sit for about a hour due to the left lane being closed for clean up(some retard in a Camaro blew coolant all over the track)

Well our little ricer friend saw me run, and was quite delited to see me run slower than him and all through the through he was telling me all the things I should do to my car, to make it "fast" like his and all the kills he's compiled:rolleyes:. While he was delited that I ran slow on one pass, I delited on the fact that he was idleing the whole time we were in the staging lanes(10-15min) and than I only started my enough to keep hot coolent in the heater core(as I had the heater on trying to pull some heat out).

Well we cut about the same 60ft time, with him just a tad behind. After that I pulled away. Imagine his suprized when I ran almost 6 tenths faster:D A 12.23 to his 12.75

Now if I can outrun these ricers, they MUST be slow.

http://www.uniquehardware.co.uk/serv...eye/blabla.gif out of curiosity how fast does a 12.75 in the 1/8 equal in 1/4 times... my sister has an auto eclipse with a rice muffler that she thinks is "sporty and pretty fast" that is a dog, I think it's slower than my parents mini van......

a 12.75 should be a high 19 or low 20 in the 1/4 mile.

I would love to run you in my Ranger, Josh....I bet I could take you if I prepped my truck for the track a little....:p ;)

It ran a 19.29 after a 30 minute drive and with 1/2 tank gas, a 175 lb. passenger, and after I spun some cookies in gravel, getting my tires all dusty. I did a little burnout to clean the tread off though. Of course this was on my GTech.....
