has anyone's MSD coil done this?
 

I noticed a few weeks ago that the spark from my coil was actually arching out towards its casing (as shown in the picture)

I know this can't be good for spark, so I put the stock coil back in and it seems like its gained a little bit of power back, but it could just be a malfunction in the butt-dyno:)

do you think MSD will send me a new one, its not very old

I had much worse happen to mine, it was a week old and it caught fire! Burnt up 4 of my FMS 9mm wires that were also only a week old, MSD replaced the coil but I was on my own for the wires. I was sure glad that I'd switched to woven push lok hose because I watched the fire burn directly below the fuel line, that old rubber hose would've been the end of my car for sure! Go back to where you bought it from and get them to phone up MSD.
