I have been going through the same.... I have it figured ideally to install a 180 stat, distilled water, water wetter, electric fan and an aluminum radiator.. and a cowl hood to get rid of some more of the heat..

Pony is Too Hot to Trot

Andre:

This is well covered in our archives but for a specific response you need to supply more information.

What year and model Mustang? What engine mods do you have, if any? What cooling system parts have you replaced or upgraded and with what kind of replacements?

Radiator size? (2 row or 3 or 4?) WP, fan working properly (electric or clutch). How's the radiator cap? Flushed and filled the system? What's your water-to-anti-freeze ratio? When does it overheat - at idle or on the highway or both? Only in hot weather or all the time?

You may have a big problem (like a blown head gasket) but you may just have air in the system or need something simple like a new cap or a fan clutch.
