347 Stroker Combo

Ok.. this is the deal. Orinally I had my 5.0 setup with an E-303 cam, GT-40P heads (fully ported and polished), edelbrock performer upper and lower, 70 mm. Tbody, 77 mm mass air, 24 lb injectors. I broke my crank a few months ago and have damaged some valves but it somehow cleared the cam. I want to build a 347 (or maybe a 331??) stroker. As of now, I want to either use the E-303 cam or get a bigger one, (any suggestions on a better one??). As of now, the GT-40P heads will have to stay on until I get something better. Also, my edelbrock will have to stay on until I get something else that is better. (Maybe the performer RPM???) Anyway, anyone have suggestions on the cam I should use? I want to use something that is gonna work good with the setup I have now but also something that I can grow into after upgrading on the heads, etc. I thought about an X-303 cam but then I heard that Comp Cams have a good one that would work but I dont remember the cam number. Any suggestions?? Thanks

I would call up to Anderson's ford motorsports and see what they have to say.

Anderson Ford Motorsport is a good suggestion. Great cam people. Another good source for strokers would be DSS www.dssracing.com or try Keith Craft Racing.

Good luck,
E

Coast 347 kit, They claim it can go 100,000 miles with their design.

347 Stroker

I'm currently building an 87gt. I had Central Coast Mustang build my long block. It's a 342 (no over bore on the block). I have AFR 185 heads; X-303 cam. I'v addded Edlebrock performer RPM intake; 70mm throttlebody; 73 mm MAF; 30# injectors; bbk equal length headers. The car is still in the "being built" stage so I don't have actual HP readings but Central Coast claims 450 hp at the crank with a properly equipped long block

Regards,
Paul

not trying to flame anyone but the original post started with what cam do you recommend not who you got to build your stroker motor for you. i havent seen any cam specs suggestions. cause ya probably dont know them or you would have posted them.

btw, my cam for my stroker is a Comp cam hydralic roller retro fit :

304 degrees advertised duration
244 degrees @ .050"lift
.576" lift

so i guess if you like high rpm hp this is the cam i would recommend
