Brake upgrade - master cylinder?

I'm upgrading to 73mm calipers in the front (rear stays stock for now). Will the stock reservoir be big enough to handle the new calipers?

anyone???

yes, the resivor will be big enough to handle the bigger calipers.

It will hold enough fluid. Your m/c piston will have to move a bit more fluid to fill the larger dia calipers but you should be fine. Never hurts to check though....
Usually people start changing master cylinders, lines, and valving when going to disks on the rear.

You can use the stock master cylinder but I've heard that pedal travel will increase about 25%(?). The web site I found (can't remember it now but I copied the text for future reference) says the '86 lincoln m/c (wagner # R105806) is basicly the same as the SVO unit and will bring the pedal back up.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I'm going to throw on the new calipers this weekend and see how the pedal feels. I just wanted to be sure I was going to have enough pressure to stop my car. Didn't want to change calipers and then find out that I have to let my car sit until I could get a new mc.:)

i have heard it being done without changing MC's but i would highly recomend gettina a MC. with 73MM calipers and stock MC you will have 48% (!!!) more pedal travel than stock. which is never good. get a 94 GT MC and youll be all set...
im doing it this weekend.
