Raced a 5.0 LX
 

Caught a light with a beautiful cherry red LX 5.0 notch. Tailpipes looked stock (check) no lumpy cam noises eminating from the engine bay (check) no cowl hood (check) lol. I looked over and it's some mid twenties guy and he looks at my GT and we nodded at each other. Light changes and we both edge out. At about 10mph I hear his exhaust start to scream so I punched it. It was over in 2 sec. I pulled on him like nothing, I think he gave up pretty quickly into it once I pulled a car or two. Threw up the peace sign and went on my way. It looked very nice, but I guess it was pretty close to stock. Either way, I felt redeemed after my loss on Friday.

Hmmm...what do you mean?

Friday I went to the Howie's show, then a few of us came back to my house to fix my GT. I raced that cammed 5.0 on the way to my house and got beat.
