Cowl hood opening problems
 

I just installed a cowl hood and im having problems with the hood release mechanism. Its got me baffled. I pull the cable/hood release, and nothing. I cant even pull the hood up with somebody else holding the release lever open?

I inspected the cable, release mechanism the first time this happened (had the front end of the car off at the time, so it was easy to unbolt the release latch from the body and remove it that way to get the hood open) and everything is fine. I even lubed it up real good.

Can having the locking latch adjusted improperly cause this problem?

And how do I get the hood up now?

Help! Any suggestions?

I looked at sliding my hand up from underneath to unbolt the latch mechanism, and it doesnt look promising.

its too tight...
Try pushing it closed harder while someone pops the latch from inside..then while they are holding it..open the hood latch
