Getting Zex 75-125. what can I expect

I have a 94 gt with 3.73 bbk shortys, exaust, underdrive pullies, MSD 6a. I have run a current best of 14.2. What do you think I can run with the 125 shot of zex hitting the n2o begining of 2nd gear. They say you don't need to improve your fuel system, I can run the stock injectors and fuel pump with stock fuel press. Is this right. Should I run 10 degrees of timming at first. also would a cold air and 65mm TB help out. I am worried that I will be under injected, please help, Thanks a lot, Scott

You should upgrade your fuel pump since you have done some mods. The stock pump is barely enough for stock. The engine could lean out with the 125 shot.

You should see low 13's and possible high 12's if you have traction (slicks).

Will I also need to upgrade injectors and get a adjustable fuel press. reg? would a upgraded fuel pump alone help with using the stock 19lb injectors. thanks

An adjustable reg is HIGHLY recomended so you can fine tune the FP. With the dry Zex kit, the additional fuel is delivered by raising the fuel pressure while spraying. With the stock injectors, fuel pressure would be 90+ while spraying the 125 hp jet. This could lead to the injectors going static (staying open).

If you upgraded the fuel pump alone, it would help. But the injectors would still be at that elevated pressure. it would be best to get the 24 pounders, an AFR, and a 190+ fuel pump. That would be the safest bet.

ALSO!!! Run a scan on the computer and check for any codes that may be there. Fix any little problem before installing the Zex kit. Spraying N2O will not fix any problems! only make them worse.
