Extra Weight

Seems silly to ask this, but do you all avoid extra weight such as a sub box in your trunk? I have 2 10" Cerwin Vegas in a pretty heavy box, plus an amp.

I'm wondering, does this really make that much of a difference? I really want to get as much out of my stang as I can, so if it does make much of a difference, I'll take it out and sell it or something.

Yes a taking out the sub box will help. Every 100 pounds is worth a tenth.

Plus the manufacturer only recommends that you place a maximum weight of 100 lbs. in your trunk anyway. I am guessing that when "the bass kicks in and the Vega's are pumpin'" (tribute to the great Vanilla Ice :D ) you are pushing near 100 lbs.
