Flexalite 150 install questions

Just bought a used Flexalite 150 fan from a buddy for $75. I was just at the Flexalite site and this is the same fan as the 175 kit but is the Universal unit.

Should I order the custom mounting brackets, or will I be able to fabricate them easily myself. I do have a buddy that can do heavy metal fabrication if required.

Sounds like I will finally get around to install my 130 amp alternator and underdrive pulleys

I have the 175 and the bracket can be made very easily, don't bother ordering it. I have an underdrive crank and water pump pulley from ASP and am still using my stock alternator with no problems, but every car is different. I planned on upgrading to a 130 amp but the car ran perfect with the stock one.

My car has a rebuilt Auto Zone 75 amp alt, and the volts drop pretty low with everything on at idle, without a fan. For some weird reason, having the AC on makes the volts drop the most.

I already have the 130 amp alt, just have not gotten around to putting it in yet. I'm gonna make up the main power feed wire myself, maybe from a SN-95 harness.

I saw the install article at Ford Muscle and had some questions.
I assume the top brackets that bolt in where the threaded rods go, also bolt to the radiator like the shroud does, but how does the bottom get attached?? It looked like only two brackets for the top.

The bottle support bracket looks pretty simple too, that should be no problemo.

The bracket screws into the clip's that are currently holding your fan shroud in place. Just pop those off, put one on the bottom of the radiator, one of the top, and have your buddy make you a bracket that will screw into those, reuse the fan shroud screws too. I'm planning on going to a 130 amp alternator soon too anyways because if I put an amp in to push my speakers there's no way it will keep up with my battery, it must be at the perfect balance right now.
