Best cam for my ap?
 

I'm planning on stuffing in a new cam next month, and I'm kind of confused on which would be best for my car. I'm running Edelbrock Performer Heads, TFS track heat intake, 30# injectors, 190 lb pump, 75mm MAF, 70mm TB etc etc. I'm planning on squeezing 125-150 shot of n2o next year, and I want the best ca for n/a and n2o applications.

How is the Comp Cam xtreme energy cam (either .509/.512 w/ 1600-5800 rpm range or their .519/.523 w/ 1800-6000 range)?
They're only $169........whereas say AFM wants $269. Are they almost as good as Anderson cams or nowhere close?

what you have to decide on is your power range,peak power,the whole 9,most of AFM cams are custom ground to a certain application,so that is why they are on the high side of the money scale.

You cannot beat a custom cam period,you get exactly what you need,but be warned,when you call a cam grinder he is going to ask you some very detailed questions,after all they want you to have sucess with their product.

All the cam companies will grind you a cam to your specific needs,to the powerband you are looking for the whole 9.

Thanks Carl. But is their custom grind gonna be $100 better than say the Comp Cam xtreme energy cam w/ the similar power band???
