Weirdness!!

Hey,

I was just wondering something. When I start my car sometimes, the radio and the windows don't work. When I try turn the car off and back on, they work fine. Other times it takes it couple of starts for the radio and the radio to work. Anyone have this problem?

what year car is this? how many miles? what kind of shape? i had a similar problem, which got worse. i pulled off the steering wheel covering there and figured out that the wire harness the ignition plugs into was actually coming loose and causing a weak connection. it had got to a point where i could slightly turn the key forward while running (without engaging the starter) and the window would roll up or down, but you had to find that 'right spot'. it got to the point where the car would die when turning corners and hit bumps, so despite the 100* temps i went to work. i thought it was the ignition switch but while in there i realized it was that wire harness. (someone's gonna smack me) i used super glue ;) lol (red green at his finest baby! yeah!)
is this your problem? probably not,,, but i wanted to mention it. might want to check your fuse box as well.

It's a 1990 lx 5.0. That car has like 160k miles or something. I doubt the person before me replaced any of the wiring. So what did you have to do to replace the wiring or what not? Its not that big of a deal right now. I was thinking about replacing the stock steering wheel and disabling the airbag, cause the light keeps of flickering. I doubt it works anyways. Do you happen to know the process about going through with that? I want to replace it with a grant wheel or something. Thanks man for your help.
