I think they are just temporary. We tried the name yourself thing, and well, some people got out of line with the whole member thing, if you know what I mean.

You can, at 1500 posts. I guess that filters out the flyby postings/flamings.

Interesting change.

I think the 1500 post minimum to change to your own title is pretty cool. It kind of gives guys that have been here a while a little bonus (and post whores get a bonus, but no system is perfect). :D
