Cheap 'official' Ford Rims

Hello,

I want to buy some 16" or 17" Mustang rims. They need to be new, four lug, and I don't want emblems :). Looking for like the 93 GT or 93+ Cobra rims. (I would LOVE to get some 4-lug 93 Cobra R rims, but I don't think they exist.)

Any online sites that would fulfill such a need?

Thanks,
DoranW

I don't remember what all was offered by these guys, but I just got my Cobra R's from here. As far as prices go, they were by far the cheapest I could find. The wheels look good so far....hopefully they hold up well.

Prices are really good...2 questions...

If I lower my car 1.5 inches, will 17x9s fit all around on a 1990 Fox body?

Also, assuming set = 4. Fair assumption?

Thanks,
DoranW

sigh...too much stuff I want to do with my car....

I think after this current project*, I am going to go for some suspension stuff...it never ends! Oh well ;)

*Current Project
AOD --> T5
Black Carpet (Interior and Cargo)
Black seat cover
Corbeau Racing seats up front.

Thinking tint, lower 1.5", control arms, subframe connectors, and rims/tires for winter project...

Thanks,
DoranW

I have some original 17" factory alloys for sale. email for pics. they're off a 94gt. One has a hairline crack that can be fixed. All four for $200. They're 5 lug though. You can get a conversion kit with the money you save on the great price.

You might be careful going 17x9 at all corners on a 1990. Most people would say go with a 17x8 in the front. Remember, 1990 is still before Mustangs came with wider inner fenders to accomodate larger rims/tires. Go to afs. They do a good job explaining stuff on the early Stangs. I would have boguht their kit with the two 17x8's and two 17x9 wheels, but they were on backorder and couldn't give me an estimate on then they would be ready to ship.

That being said....I bought 17x9 wheels for all four corners on my 1990 Stang:eek: ! The website I sent you to said they add 18 mm of offset to their wheels, so they should fit. We will find out soon enough. I got my new wheels/tires mounted and balanced, but they are not on the car yet. I have to get a different set of lug nuts to make them fit, which I should pick up tomorrow. So, if all goes well, I can let everyone know by tomorrow night what the fit is like on my car.

Oh, and set = 4 is a fair assumption:p !

Just went through this on my car with the Ford 17x9 Cobra R's. I have a 1991 GT (larger wheel wells), and still ran into problems with everything fitting. I actually spent yesterday afternoon grinding some of the spots where the wheels were rubbing in the wheel wells, and rolling the fender lips. I would be wary of trying to fit those rims in a 1990 Fox without being prepared for some additional modifications. In the meantime, check out this site, I found it VERY helpful:
