1988 Mustang GT for Sale
Hi guys, I am thinking of starting another prodject and I am gunna have to sell my 88GT.. I was wondering what a good price would be to sell a 88 GT that has aftermarket parts, 1990 Mass air conversion, spotless original interior and exterior. the car only has 62K original miles, and has never seen winters or rainy days. NO track duty either, just a eye turner.. let me know what you think? I am looking for around $10,500.. I think thats fair for the condition and aftermarket parts. Thanks!

I think thats a little steep for a car thats 14 years old. I guess it depends on what these after market parts are. Better be good for 10,500. The Kellys Blue Book private party value for an 88GT with 62,000 miles on it that is in exellent condition is around $3,200. (you can check this at www.kbb.com ) One thing to consider is that these cars are pretty sought after and that makes someone who wants one pay more to get it. Lets say that someone wants to pay 2,300 more than the blue book value for a stock 88GT with 63k and in perfect condition because the want it really bad, thats $5,500. That means that the modifications to the car have to be worth $5,000 to the buyer to get to 10,500. But, you never get back as much $ as you put into the modifications. So, if you have put $8,000-$10,000 into the modifications its possible that you could get $10,500 out of the car.
Of coarse thats just my opinion, I could be wrong.:) Always remember that something is worth whatever you can get some poor sucker to pay for it.:D |
You might be able to get 6.

I agree completely with zepherman. Even though people try to pin the whole blue book sceam on you, you still have to go with the trends. Mustangs are hot right now, but you can also get them anywhere and it all depends what aftermarket parts you have on it. i would have to have a complete list of mods and maybe a picture or two to quote a price. Its all in the eye of the beholder....thats why i got 12k out of my old Fairlane that appraised for 8500 :) . Good luck-Mike
