whats a convertable weight???
 
even thou i just got finished my 4to 8 4cly swap i was thinking of getting a convertable to put my motor/trans into..i found a motor/transless black gt..i just want a crusing car for the summer and maybee at the end of the summer ill put a 347 or somehting into the notch..i guess subframes are the first thing i do..id swap in everyting including my rear(4.10s)..i also would be doing a weight reduction..so what does one of these weight without sound dedening, alum heads, no ac etc..basically how much can i get this pig down to???

I went to the track and my stock 90LX AOD convert. weighed in at 3615 with me (145 lbs), half a tank, jack and spare (50 lbs). The A/C is 50 odd pounds, rear seat is 50, I think you loose 25-50 by using alum. heads, there's probably at seats 25lbs of sound stuff in the car.....
