we met up down on the southside of Indy, and after a few hours of talkin and bullshittin around, we decided to go run em

I knew off the bat that he would (or should) beat me, being his car has TFS heads cam and intake. He also had BFG DR's and I had futura's, so thats not exactly fair :)

anyway, we went from about a 10-15mph roll to minimize the traction advantage a little, and he immediatley started pulling on me, mainly because i bumped the rev limiter in 1st (oops). We shut them down at easily over 100, and he was about 3-4 cars infront of me.

So then we turn around and decide to go again. But this time i had a better launch (didn't hit the rev limiter), but he was still pulling on me. This was a closer race as he had me by about 2.5-3 car lengths.

It was a pretty fun night, glad I got to meet him/you

Looks like I'm gonna have to find some time to install that 75shot in there and head back down next weekend :D

Are you running the Speed Density or Mass Air system?

dont get a shot quite yet. tell him to run street tires and you two go at it again. then it would be more accurate of a race, right?

No offense srv1, but in street racing, you have to "run what you brung".

it was all in good fun, we both knew that he would take me, just didn't know by how much.

It is run what ya brung, so maybe I need to buy some ET street's for cruise nights. I know I'm gonna need some softer rubber if I wanna spray it on the street. Maybe I'll just hit it midway through 3rd gear, and all of 4th, because I know it will most likely blow the tires off in 2nd if I spray it then.

oh andsrv1 , he still woulda had me in the end. He was pulling slowly away from me all the way up, so the street tires vs. DR's wasn't THAT big of a deal

Fiveohpatrol I had a blast meeting you and would love to race you after the bottle to see what kind of a gain it gives you, but if we do that then you have to run me after I put the NOVI 2000 on :D

Well since I don't use it for a daily driver I don't even have "street tires" I drive it everywhere on DR's. But for what its worth we went from a high first gear roll to HELP factor the Dr's out of the equation. But FWIW I don't think he spun the second run but if he did we can always run from a freeway roll I guess.
