steeda clutch quadrant kit..easy to self-install?
 

Hi everyone. I saw a Steeda clutch quadrant kit on the net and I was thinking of buying it (my stock quadrant sucks and it's getting harder to press on the clutch!).
Is it easy to install? or should I take it to a shop?

I had a difficult time with mine. You have to remove the drivers seat and work upsidedown and jam your hands up into the quadrant area. it is very easy to cut your hands on the stamped steel pedal suport and the studs for the seats can be painful is you accidentaly roll on them. Depending on what the shop charges, I would let them do the work.

Do a search, there's been about 10 posts on this topic in the last couple weeks, ought to answer any questions you might have.

It's easy dude. 10 minutes under the dash and 3-4 minutes to put in the firewall adjuster. 10-15 minutes changing the cable. I changed everything in less than a 1/2 hr. (without removing the seat).

I thought it was easy. We did it in our garage. I love it it is great.

No real problems installing - you do have to be flat on your back - you can get to it with seat in with some work - or simply take out the seat to give you additional room. If you're going to do it - get the complete kit with the firewall adjuster - great setup.

I installed the steeda double hook quadrant and cable with firewall adjuster about a year and a half ago. I wasn't very difficult, just uncomfortable. I slid the seat all the way back and laid upside down. The hardest part is getting the old quadrant off, then it's a cake walk from there.
