Well, if the Air Tank as turbo didnt work out, how about this.

Ok, if we cant use an air tank, how about we use a bungy cord to get an edge on the competition. Just drive to the end of the track and attach the cord to a post and the other end to the front of your car. then throw it in reverse and stretch the cord all the way back to the starting line. then when the light turns green let off the brake and hit the gas just like you would in a normal race and let the bungy cord do its thing. This could probaby cut 2 seconds off your ET's right? And just like the Air Tank Turbo you still dont have to throw your money away on some silly spercharger. Cant believe someone didnt think of this before.

One more thing, if you dont have the money to get a bungy cord, you could always tie a long chain of bicycle tubes together Then you could really b cheap about it.:D

holy ****

Of all these "new Age" ideas, I still think you're better off to fill the car with helium to reduce it's wieght.
Lower weight = faster acceleration :) |
did you parents drop you on your head when you were a child?

Hey! What about hydrogen, its even lighter!

The bungy cord thing is just too damn technical to do. I suggest rubbing a little baby powder on the front nose of the car so there will be less air resistance. I tried the bungy cord thing and only gained 1 tenth. With the baby powder I gained a big 5 tenths.

Wouldn't hooking a bungee cord over your opponents rear bumper be easier?
Take care, ~Chris |
Heck, If the person beside you at the track has a kill switch on their car wouldnt it be easier to just shut their car off.
