air/fuel gauge
I just installed an air/fuel guage for my nitrous and I cant seem to get the guage to read. Now, I was told to tie the sender wire to one of the white wires off of the 02 sensor on the left drivers side. I tried to tie the wire to both white wires and even the black wire on BOTH sides and nothing would work. Could I have a faulty 02 sensor, is the wire bad? I'm not sure what the problem is, so need I need some help. Thanks

I had the Auto Meter gauge and I actually tied to the signal wires before the computer connection. You can use #29 to monitor the right O2 or 43 for the left O2. The Auto Meter gauge has three wires. red is to 12V, black to ground and purple to one of the two signal wires mentioned above. And BTW it only gives you an actual reading at WOT. The rest of the time they bounce all around and look cool but don't give you any usefull info. Did you pull codes to see if you had any for the O2"s? Good luck!

I would recommend tapping the wire at the computer too. And even at WOT those gauges are not accurate. Not even close.
I have about 10 sets of melted plugs that would debate the accuracy of those gauges. :) In fact, I almost even feel like a ricer for having one in my car. :( |
