Another Electrical Problem
I posted here about a week ago because my turn signals weren't working (thanks for the replies). Today I went and checked the fuse for my turn signals. The fuse was fine, but everything on that fuse isn't working either (reverse lights, and low fluid lights I think). Any ideas??
My engine mounts were replaced a few days before this happened and my parents seem to think that maybe the shop might have knocked a ground loose or something. BTW, my dad also says that the AC fan isn't working either. I'm kinda stumped here. My parents want to take the car back to the shop and have them check and make sure they didn't forget to connect anything. |
Take a volt meter and check to see if you are getting power to the fuse to begin with. Pull out the fuse and put one probe in the lower fuse slot and ground the other probe. If you have no voltage there try the upper slot. If you still have no power trace the wire back to see where it is broken/disconnected. This will check that particular circuit. If you have other things that aren't working on different circuits it could be a ground or something else disconnected like your parents suggested.

I know this is going to sound dumb but, where would the best ground to use be?
Thanks a lot |
Any unpainted metal.

Just a follow up here, it was the ignition switch
