Loud ringing noise/dont know what it is???
 

I have a loud ringing noise comming from my rear end but i dont know what it is.my rear axle bearings whine really bad so i know thats not the ringing noise.The ringing noise
can only be heard when my car is at idle.
If any of you could give some idea's of what might be making the noise or causing it it would very helpful.Thanks for any opinoins
on what this might be.

Sounds like something may have come loose and it rattling around in your rear end. Not rattling really...but slightly hitting another metal object just enougb to cause a ringing.

If it only happens at idle it can't be anything in the rearend, unless you mean while the car is idling down the road?
