I used to have a dynomax exhaust but one side was damaged when my car bottomed on a pot hole in a construction area. When I put it in the shop to have it fixed, they ended up replacing that entire side from the stock h-pipe back. Unfortunately they used some cheap muffler that made my car as quiet as a 4 banger.

So I'm now replacing my exhaust with a flowmaster set. I just bought the mufflers since I figured I already had all the pipe from my dynomax set I had on it. Once I got started I found the shop had used 2.25" pipe instead of 2.5" pipe on the side they repaired.

My question is, will it be allright to use this 2.25" pipe on one side and 2.5" pipe on the other side. My mufflers are 2.5" inlet/outlet, so I used an adapter on the 2.25" pipe which goes from my h-pipe to the muffler. Then after the muffler it goes to another adapter and then to 2.25" tail pipe.

Once I eventually do more mods I will upgrade to 2.5" all around, but I am going back to school in a week and don't have $150 to have 2.5" pipe custom bent right now. Is it going to really hurt my cars performance or the sound of the new mufflers??

Not enough for you to notice. Your tailpipes will look a little weird; one side fatter than the other, but other than that, I wouldn't worry about it. Replace the tailpipe with a 2.5" piece when you can .
