Installed new mods - now whistling sound????
I recently got my car back from it's injector/intake/fuel pump install. The car runs like a BEAST, but it now makes a whistling/sucking sound at idle (in the engine compartment). y mechanic told me it's normal because of the intake/MAF/TB sucking more air. Is this true? Anyone else w/ this prob? Any suggestions or ideas what it could be? Help PLEASE!

It's that BBK TB. There is a hole in the back of it where air passes, and theat creates the whining sound that your hearing I believe.

Yup, it's that BBK TB. I have one and it sounds like a freakin jet airplane comin in for a landing. I think it sounds kinda cool though. That combined with the whine of my blower sure makes people look twice.

You guys are awesome. I've been doing some online research and that's exactly what I found out - the BBK TB is the answer. Now that I know what it is, I do think it sounds cool. I just didn't want it to be anything wrong. Thank God. Now, the ? is.....why does it do it??? Thanks guys.
