Removing battery acid stains from plastic.

The guy i bought this car from had had the battery explode and there battery acid stains on the plastic fan shround and on the radiator tanks. Ive tried battery cleaner, Meguiars Gold Class all purpose cleaner wipes and just plain soap and water. How can i get rid of this crap. It looks like H###. Its even in the hood liner. Any suggestions?

You can't get rid of it. You can try buffing it out, but it won't go. For future reference, any time you see battery acid on metal (white, fluffy deposits), the ONLY way to neutralize it and stop the damage is with water and baking soda.

Take care,

Thanks ill keep that in mind if it ever happens to me. This happend to the 2nd owner. I want to either get a new fan anyway or maybe ill just paint the shroud to match the car. Thanks again
