X-pipe
Any of you guys run an X-pipe in your stang, and if so did you buy it that way or did you have someone weld it together from and existing exhaust system.

I'm installing an H pipe on mine from Summit Racing, they also have the X pipes as well. They are pretty much bolt on, unless your exhaust has been replaced at one time and not sectioned off.

I have the Dr Gas X pipe I ordered it from the speed shop I deal with and they welded and installed! I also have longtube headers, this thing has a very different sound I also use Dynomax superturbo mufflers. The Nascar teams have used these for years! They work so well that the cam profile has to be changed on the exhaust side on high horsepower motors! It doesnt have the ( 5.0) sound.

IMO, I think the x pipes are no different than the h pipes. I would like to see some numbers comparing the two pipes.
I would just go with the H-pipe and save the extra cash on something else...like gas! since the price of that is going through the freakin roof!! ------------------ '82 GT 351W C-4,BBK headers,Carter 625 carb,Comp.Cam,Flowmaster exhaust. 1988 GT...T-5,bone stock |
