plug gap
 

I changed my plugs about two years ago and just put them in, not worrying about the gap size. Since I have learned of the importance of gapping them, but I am not sure how much of a difference it will make. Do you think it's worth it to remove all the plugs and regap them??

You should replace you plugs every 20k miles anyway, buy a new set and gap them accordingly.

any damage that could be attributed to gap size would have been done already. I wouldstill suggest buying some new plugs and gapping them correctly. You might notice a power difference.

I think it's been about 30k miles since my plug change. Last time I did it, I did plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Should I do them all again, or just the plugs? How many miles should you let wires, cap and rotor go?

Also, what do you recommend gapping them at for a pretty much stock motor?

I replace my cap, rotor and wires every 50-60k miles. Some new cars go 100k without recommendations to change them. I think you'll be fine with just a new set of plugs. Standard gap for the plugs, AND SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG!, is .052-.054 unless your running a power adder or nitrous.

For 95 the recommended gap is something like .056-.060". I used .058 after my last set of upgrades and the car was sluggish. Somebody recommended tightening the gap to .040". I regapped mine to .045" and the car definitely behaved better. The throttle response seemed to be snappier. Didn't really notice any difference in the 'getup & go' department. I would've tried them at .040" after .045 made such a difference if the =length headers didn't make it such a pain in the ***** to change them.

On your 91 .045" is recomended, and will work fine. I change my plugs every 10-20k miles, I change my cap and rotor every other oil change just to make sure its clean and arc free. Wires I would change every 40-50k miles. These parts a fairly cheap to replace, and it just ensures that your car is running properly.
